Neighbourhood: Centro Histórico Graça

Situated between the neighborhoods of Alfama and Castelo, on the hill above Sâo Vincente, is Graça. The street Largo da Graça and immediate surrounding is like a small town center, with a lot of character. Here you can take the famous tram nº 28 which takes you to several other historical areas of the city. To the west is the Esplanada da Igreja da Graça with an open air-air café. Don’t miss this place. It has the most spectacular views over the city! From Graça, with the small shop owners, cafés and restaurants, it is easy to move to other parts of town, walking, by the old fashioned tram or taxis which, by the way, are one of the cheapest in Europe.
