Good restaurants are nearby and if you wish more night life, 10/15 minutes walking or 5 by taxi.

Laid out in a grid pattern in the late 16th Century, the hilltop Bairro Alto is one of picturesque districts of the city adjacent to Chiado area. Since the 1980s, this has been Lisbon's best-known nightlife zone, with countless small bars and restaurants alongside the older casas de fado. Alto has a quiet area and a nightlife area to choose from. Much restoration work has taken place over the last four years, and many new buildings now stand side by side to old, peeling houses and tiny grocery shops.
